State Inspectorate for Fauna and Flora Protection
General information
The State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora under the President of the Republic of Belarus is a specifically authorized government agency that reports to the President.
Main task
The main task of the government agency is to exercise government control over:
- protection and utilization of wild animals as part of hunting business and fishing, lands occupied by wild trees and shrubs (vegetation), trees and shrubs outside the state forest reserves except for the vegetation located within borders of populated localities and included in the Red Book of Belarus;
- protection, safeguarding, regeneration, and usage of the state forest reserves;
- fishing and fish farming;
- hunting farms and hunting.
