Ministry of Communications and Informatization

General information

The Ministry of Communications and Informatization regulates and manages activities in the area of communications and informatization, coordinates the operation of corporations of all kinds of self-employed businessmen in the area of communications and informatization. The ministry also coordinates the work of other central government agencies in matters of communications and informatization.

Main tasks

  • to perform state regulation, management of activities, to pursue a unified state policy in the area of communications and informatization and enable conditions conducive to the development of organizations of all types of ownership that operate in the specified field;
  • to organize the development and implementation of programs on developing communications and informatization;
  • to coordinate activities of legal persons and self-employed businessmen in the area of communications and informatization for the sake of satisfying the demand of government agencies, corporations, and individuals for communications services, to enable conditions to satisfy information needs of government agencies, corporations, and individuals by means of setting up telecommunication systems and (or) networks that enable the formation and processing of information resources, and to provide users with documented information;
  • to work out and implement a policy in the area of planning, distribution, and effective usage of the radio frequency spectrum by civilian-grade radioelectronic devices.
