Belarusian Written Language Day greetings
To participants and guests of the Belarusian Written Language Day
Dear friends!
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on Belarusian Written Language Day – a traditional autumn celebration of our authentic national culture and its rich spiritual heritage.
Such meetings of masters, printers, and lovers of literature are an unchanging source of wisdom of our ancestors, a living dialogue between people, and a means of shaping universal human values in society.
This year guests are welcomed by the hospitable Kostyukovichi District – a land of rustling pine forests and ancient churches, the birthplace of the outstanding Belarusian classics Arkady Kuleshov and Ivan Chigrinov.
I am confident that in this very land everyone will be able to touch the true literary treasures of our people, hear the sound of their native language, and discover new names and works by modern Belarusian and foreign authors.
I wish you all good health, interesting meetings, inexhaustible creative inspiration, and well-being.
Aleksandr Lukashenko
