Aleksandr Lukashenko makes new appointments

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko considered new appointments on 12 August.

The head of state appointed:

Piotr Parkhomchik chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee;

Viktor Karankevich Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus;

Aleksei Kushnarenko Energy Minister;

Valery Verenich head of Belarusian Railways;

Igor Marshalov Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Angola and the Republic of Belarus concurrently;

Mikhail Kasko Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka concurrently;

Roman Romanovsky Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) concurrently.

The President also approved the appointment of:

Gennady Sabynich as first deputy chairman of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee;

Dmitry Zakharchuk as chairman of the Volkovysk District Executive Committee;

Vitaly Platun as chairman of the Lyuban District Executive Committee;

Aleksandr Kiselev as chairman of the Bykhov District Executive Committee;

Andrei Dubinchik as chairman of the Osipovichi District Executive Committee;

Andrei Konev as head of the Leninsky District Administration of Mogilev;

Tatyana Astreiko as First Deputy Labor and Social Protection Minister;

Aleksandr Sudnik as Deputy Finance Minister;

Andrei Prokopchuk as director of the Foreign Economic Activities Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

Viktor Podskrebkin as head of the Economy and Sectoral Programs Department of the Union State Permanent Committee.
