Working visit to Russia

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has arrived in the Russian Federation on a working visit.
The Belarusian head of state is set to take part in the events to mark the 80th anniversary of breaking the siege of Leningrad.
St. Petersburg will host a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. One of the main items on the agenda is the approval of the major guidelines to implement the provisions of the Union State Treaty for 2024-2026 and the discussion of prospects for the further development of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in various fields. The parties are set to take stock of the progress to implement the major guidelines for 2021-2023 and 28 Union State programs.
The agenda of the meeting also includes items related to the program of concerted actions in foreign policy, the strategy for scientific and technological development, the status of the unified industrial policy, the modernization and development of railway infrastructure, and the development of the media of the Union State.
The Presidents of Belarus and Russia are scheduled to hold bilateral talks to consider the most pressing issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation and to discuss international issues.
