Negotiations with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev had a meeting in the Zagulba Presidential Palace.

In line with the protocol, the negotiations were preceded by ceremonial events involving an honor guard company and the performance of the national anthems. Members of the delegations also participated in the ceremony. Another mandatory tradition was the photo-opp of the two leaders.

At first, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Ilham Aliyev held a meeting in a one-on-one format, after that they were joined by their delegations.

“We have no closed topics, everything is open in our relations. If someone heard what issues we discussed, they would wonder what relations we had? We enjoy the best, closest relations. We communicate like brothers, we have the same world view and understand where it is moving. I told you one-on-one about Heydar [former President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev's father Heydar Aliyev]: if he had seen how Azerbaijan was developing today...” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
