On approving the monetary policy targets for 2027
Decree No. 343 of 30 September 2026
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No.343 on 30 September approving the monetary policy targets for 2027. The document was adopted to create conditions for sustainable economic growth.
The list of targets meets the requirements for the work of the National Bank and the banking system as a whole – facilitating economic growth while maintaining price stability and financial stability.
The Decree sets the following parameters:
- consumer price growth – no more than 6%;
- international reserve assets – at least $12.8 billion (the most important indicator of the country’s economic security and its financial sustainability);
- the share of non-performing bank assets in assets exposed to credit risk – no more than 10% (maintaining this level will ensure the stability of the entire banking system);
- an increase in investment financing – at least 13% (to support investment lending).
