On conferment of state awards

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 319 on awarding the Order of Mother on 24 September.

A total of 239 women from all regions of Belarus and Minsk were awarded the Order of Mother for giving birth to and raising five or more children. Among them are representatives of industrial and agro-industrial enterprises, forestry and housing and utilities organizations, the energy sector, banking, insurance and social services, trade, communications and sports, the border service, educational, healthcare and cultural institutions, and religious organizations, individual entrepreneurs, and homemakers.

The largest group among those awarded - 91 women - are residents of Brest Oblast. They include Natalia Gelis, a cook at Rudsk Kindergarten; Alina Kozlovskaya, a nurse at Pinsk Central Hospital; Valentina Kalyuta, a livestock worker at Parokhonskoye; Natalia Lyashuk, a border control officer at the 86th Border Guard Group of the State Border Committee; and Natalia Novakovskaya, a laboratory assistant at the dairy farm of Agro-Motol.

The honorees include Olga Kuritskaya, an industrial process control automation engineer at Gomselmash; Yelena Artishevska, a special education teacher at Grodno Kindergarten No. 75; Yevgenia Fadeenkova, a laboratory assistant at the Department of Private Animal Husbandry of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine; Natalia Gubchik, a flower grower at Nesvizh Housing and Utilities; Olga Svirida, head of the Sinegovo postal service office of the Starodorozhsky Postal Service Center; Yelena Yarokova, a foster mother with the Education Department of the Mstislavl District Executive Committee; Yelena Chura, an agrochemist at the Minsk Greenhouse Plant; and Yulia Shostak, a process engineer at the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant.
