The National Statistical Committee (Belstat) is a national body that regulates, manages, and coordinates the activities of other government bodies and organizations working with statistics.

The main task of the committee is to meet the needs of the society, the state and the international community in high-quality official statistical data.

The National Statistical Committee reports directly to the President of the Republic of Belarus and is independent in carrying out state statistical activities.
