Telephone conversation with Chairperson of Federation Council of Russia’s Federal Assembly Valentina Matviyenko

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia Valentina Matviyenko on 7 April.

The Belarusian head of state wished Valentina Matviyenko a happy birthday. Besides, the parties discussed Belarus-Russia relations.

Ahead of Valentina Matviyenko’s birthday the President presented the Order of Francysk Skaryna to her in recognition of a big personal contribution to the enhancement of friendly relations and the development of cooperation between Belarus and Russia. Previously, she was honored with the Order of Friendship of Peoples.

It demonstrates that Valentina Matviyenko has always been and still is a strong supporter of the Belarusian-Russian relations, and it was once again emphasized during the conversation. The speaker of the Federation Council has always had a warm attitude to Belarus and has always helped develop friendly ties and implement various projects.
