Telephone conversation with Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan
On the initiative of the Armenian side there was a telephone conversation between Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on 2 July.
The sides discussed the development of bilateral relations, interaction of Belarus and Armenia in integration associations. In particular, the conversation focused on cooperation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Yerevan will host a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on 1 October 2019.
The sides also discussed the expansion of foreign economic ties of the Eurasian Economic Union with Singapore and Iran. The work on a free trade agreement between the EAEU, its member states and Singapore is currently in progress.
During the telephone conversation Aleksandr Lukashenko praised the performance of Armenian athletes at the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019 and congratulated the prime minister of Armenia. Nikol Pashinyan, in turn, congratulated the Belarusian leader on the success of this multisport forum.
Nikol Pashinyan also congratulated Aleksandr Lukashenko on forthcoming Independence Day and the 75th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation which will be celebrated on 3 July.
