Telephone conversation between Aleksandr Lukashenko, Ilham Aliyev
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev on 19 February.
The sides discussed the prospects of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their strategic character. They noted that the cooperation of the two countries has always being built in the spirit of friendship and mutual understanding.
The presidents discussed trade and economic cooperation in detail and expressed readiness to ramp up bilateral trade. They also discussed industrial cooperation. In particular, the Belarusian side is ready to consider the possibility to set up joint ventures in Azerbaijan in all avenues of bilateral cooperation and sell joint products on the markets of third countries.
The heads of state also discussed the international agenda.
