Condolences to President of India Droupadi Murmu
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent condolences to President of India Droupadi Murmu over the death of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
“Belarus was deeply saddened by the death of the outstanding Indian statesman and economist, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He will go down in the history of India as a wise and committed leader. His tireless work contributed to the growth of prosperity and international standing of his country,” the message of condolences reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled his meeting with Manmohan Singh in 2007, during his tenure as prime minister. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere; the parties signed important cooperation documents in science and technology and international security.
“On behalf of the Belarusian people and myself, I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Manmohan Singh, as well as to all citizens of India in connection with this huge loss,” the head of state emphasized.
