On 25 December, the traditional informal CIS summit will be held in St. Petersburg, or rather, in its vicinity - in the Igora all-season resort. The leaders of the CIS countries are set to summarize the results of the year and discuss the prospects for the integration cooperation.

On 26 December, Aleksandr Lukashenko will also take part in a session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The meeting of the heads of state will be held in the narrow and enlarged formats.

“The agenda of the meeting includes about two dozen issues. Leaders of the EAEU countries will discuss strategic areas of the union, including the formation of common energy markets and further harmonization of legislation, prospects for cooperation with third countries and a number of working issues,” the President’s press service said.

During the meeting, the President is expected to announce the goals and priorities of the Belarusian chairmanship in the EAEU in 2025.
