Aleksandr Lukashenko appoints military personnel
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed military personnel to positions in the leadership of the Military Academy and of the Northwestern Operational Command of the Armed Forces. The head of state signed the relevant decrees on 4 April.
Colonel Dmitry Sobol has been appointed First Deputy Chief of the Military Academy of Belarus.
The previous job holder, Colonel Igor Kozlov has been appointed Deputy Commander of the Northwestern Operational Command of the Armed Forces. He will replace Major-General Vladimir Kulazhin, who has retired from military service upon reaching the age of retirement and will retain the right to wear military uniform and insignias.
