Presidential scholarships awarded to talented Belarusian scientists

    President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the executive order to grant presidential scholarships for 2014 to talented young scientists.

    Monthly scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the tune of Br3 million have been granted to 90 talented young scientists, including ten Doctors of Sciences under the age of 45 years, 47 Candidates of Sciences under the age of 35 years, 33 young scientists without a scientific degree under the age of 30 years.

    Among the awardees are 41 scientists specializing in physics and mathematics, technical sciences and chemistry, 37 specialists in biology, medical and agrarian sciences, 12 specialists in social and humanitarian sciences.

    Scholarships were awarded to promising researchers who produced results of huge scientific and practical value. Many specialists in technical, natural and agrarian sciences have patented their inventions, useful models, crop varieties.

    The presidential executive order is a testimony to constant support for talented young scientists.
