President visits St. Archangel Michael's Church in Lyaskovichi

    The head of state attended the Easter service. The President presented the church with the icon of the Mother of God It is Truly Meet. The name of the icon comes from the Hymn to Mary chanted in divine services.

    Addressing the churchgoers, the head of state said: "Let me, in the sign of great respect to you and the clergy who accomplish their mission with dignity and help out people, present you with this icon."

    The beneficiary of the church, in turn, presented the President with a porcelain kiot with the icon of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko lit a candle at the icon of the Resurrection of Christ.

    The President addressed the locals as well as all Orthodox Christians wishing them good, peace, health, and love.
