President Lukashenko sends 90th birthday greetings to Donatas Banionis
The President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, sent the 90th birthday greetings to People's Artist of the USSR Donatas Banionis.
“You are an outstanding representative of modern cinema and theater, a man of enormous talent who can play any part in a tragic and a deeply psychological drama or a comedy. Belarus sees you as a distinguished representative of the Lithuanian and Soviet culture who has left his mark in the Belarusian cinema,” the message reads.
“Let your art bring together countries and peoples, spiritually enrich people, encourage them to pursue moral self-perfection,” the head of state said.
