Greeting to the residents of Novopolotsk as the city celebrates its 65th anniversary

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the residents of Novopolotsk as the city celebrates its 65th anniversary.

“One of the youngest and fastest growing cities appeared on the map of our country thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of builders,” the head of state said. “Over a short period of time Novopolotsk has become a major scientific and industrial center, the capital of the Belarusian petrochemistry. Today the future-oriented city is constantly growing and getting better. Actively modernizing production, developing new products and markets, Novopolotsk makes a significant contribution to the social and economic development of Belarus, and is the flagship of Vitebsk Oblast and the country in general in many areas of industry and the social and cultural sector.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko has emphasized that Novopolotsk residents can be rightfully proud of their successes in economy, science, education and sport. The historical heritage and cultural traditions of the ancient land of Polotsk are carefully preserved to bring up the younger generation.

The President wished everyone Happy City Day, a peaceful sky, strong health, happiness, wellbeing, prosperity and new achievements.
