Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko made a field trip on 27 April.

"An inspection trip without ties and reports," the telegram channel Pul Pervogo reported. "Aleksandr Lukashenko is in his hometown. He inspected oats and peas fields in Vitebsk Oblast and also the presidential experimental field in Mogilev Oblast (barley field in the town of Alexandria that was planted last season)."

It was the president's instruction to change the structure of crops in favor of winter barley. The crop ripens and is removed from fields faster and yields good harvests.

Last season, Alexander Lukashenko made the following conclusions after the experiment: “This year has shown that winter barley is a miracle. I am here for the third time. I was here when crops were sown, when crops sprouted, and now during grain formation. I am positive that we need winter barley.”

This year, the experiment continues with other crops. The presidential fields have been planted with lupine and peas. However, Aleksandr Lukashenko was satisfied with everything that he saw.
