Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulates Nesvizh on 800th anniversary

    Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to the city of Nesvizh and Nesvizh District on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the city.

    "Nesvizh is a legendary city, the cradle of Belarusian book printing, theatrical, artistic and musical art, and a precious gem on the map of Belarus. Its architectural beauty and cultural riches have been created by many generations of our ancestors for centuries. Every year, the city hosts hundreds of thousands of tourists who come to get a feel of the original and vivid history of the wise, talented and hardworking Belarusian people," the message reads.

    Continuing the ancient traditions in a worthy manner, Nesvizh District plays an important role in the social and economic development of Minsk Oblast today, being a leader in agricultural production, the head of state noted. At the heart of these high achievements is a zealous attitude of residents of the district to their land and their love for homeland.

    "I am convinced that you will continue to do your best to help your hometown, district and our whole country flourish," the Belarusian leader stressed.

    He wished all residents of the city and the region good health and new achievements, so that the results of their work become a source of pride for future generations.
