Aleksandr Lukashenko sends national day greetings to Latvia

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the people of Latvia on the Day of Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia.

The head of state noted that the two peoples were destined to live in peace and harmony. And to this day, Belarusians feel genuine affinity towards their neighbors from Latvia.

“In today’s difficult circumstances, it is gratifying to know that those of you who have visited Belarus at least once will forever cherish memories of picturesque landscapes, well-maintained fields and meadows, safe and cozy cities, towns and villages, the sincerity and diligence of Belarusians, their willingness to help and forgive, show understanding and compassion for every person regardless of race, religion and ethnicity,” the message of congratulations reads.

That is why Belarus has opened its doors to the residents of Latvia and to all people of good will. Belarus invites them to maintain good human contacts. “This is something that can save peace that we all so desperately need,” the Belarusian leader noted.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the people of Latvia good health, cloudless skies, prosperity and invited them to visit hospitable Belarus: “We will be very glad to welcome you to Belarus!”
