Greetings to people of Cyprus

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the people of the Republic of Cyprus as the country celebrates Independence Day.

“Belarusians treat Cypriots well and strongly advocate for the support and deepening of bilateral relations based on long-standing traditions of friendship and spiritual closeness. I am convinced that the creation of further barriers between our peoples does not meet the common interests, hinders equal dialogue and constructive interaction for the sake of strengthening the independence of both countries and improving the wellbeing of their citizens,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The head of state added that Minsk and Nicosia, despite all today's challenges, have a significant potential for restoring the lost ties and developing new ones, primarily in business and humanitarian sectors.

The President wished the people of Cyprus peaceful skies and successful realization of all plans and endeavors.
