Over 1,250 Belarusian students and teachers awarded presidential prizes
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed an instruction approving the decision of the council of the special presidential fund to support talented students to award prize money to young hopefuls and educators.
Prize money and scholarships will be granted to 1,250 school and university students, educators and scientists.
Prize money ranging from Br5.2 million to Br7.15 million and a badge of the laureate of the special presidential fund will be presented to 37 school and university students who won international Olympiads, world championships and contests.
Prize money will also be given to 454 winners of the 19th nationwide contest of students’ research projects and 334 winners of other international and national intellectual competitions, tournaments, Spartakiades and professional skills competitions.
Monthly scholarships of the Belarusian President (Br780,000) will be awarded to 184 university students.
Prize money ranging from Br2.6 million to Br5.2 million will be awarded to 242 educators, scientists and other persons who made a considerable contribution to spotting and nurturing talents.
Following the decision of the council, financial assistance will be provided to student research laboratories and clubs of a number of universities.
The press service informed that the presidential instruction is a testimony to constant support for talented students.
