Meeting with State Secretary of Union State Grigory Rapota

On 24 February President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko met with State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota. The meeting focused on the issues included in the agenda of the forthcoming session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.

“Now that some time has passed, I think it was right to postpone the session of the Union State Supreme State Council (the session was supposed to be held at the end of 2014 – BelTA’s note). We have more time now to elaborate the agenda and come back to the discussion of very important issues that Belarus and Russia have to deal with in economy, politics and diplomacy,” the Belarusian President said.

The head of state asked Grigory Rapota to share his views on the agenda of the session. “I know that you have held a lot of meetings with Russian and Belarusian officials to discuss the supply of food products, goods, machinery, as well as financial issues that have recently arisen. Some of the issues require serious consideration,” the Belarusians leader noted.
