Maxim Gorky Theater marks 80th anniversary

    President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent his best greetings to the personnel of the Maxim Gorky National Academic Drama Theater as they celebrate the 80th anniversary of the theater.

    “The history of your theater is one of the brightest pages in the cultural life of Belarus. The Maxim Gorky Theater’s stage revealed talent of manifold wonderful actors and directors who staged numerous performances which made up the golden fund of the national art,” the message of greetings reads.

    “Today the theater develops and enriches renowned traditions of the Russian and Belarusian theater schools which are based on the loyalty to the principles of humanism and relentless moral search,” the head of state noted.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the theater’s personnel health, every success, interesting premiers, happiness and well-being.
