Greetings to participants of EECA Regional Consultation on Expanding Access to Affordable and Quality Assured ARV and Anti-TB Medicines

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the 2nd Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) Regional Consultation on Expanding Access to Affordable and Quality Assured Antiretroviral and Antituberculosis Medicines.

    “Health of any nation is a guarantee of its sustainable development and prosperity. Therefore, the affordable and efficient healthcare system is one of the key priorities of the Belarusian national policy,” the message of greetings reads.

    The head of state remarked that it relies on the measures to prevent the distribution of dangerous viral diseases. “In cooperation with international organizations over the past decade we managed to improve the epidemic situation in Belarus, including the spread of TB and HIV infection,” the President said.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed that while strengthening international cooperation, working out joint coordinated strategies, sharing the best practices, Belarus successfully fulfils the task to ensure the access to affordable, effective and safe medications.
