Greetings to participants in celebrations of 125th anniversary of birth of Maxim Bogdanovich

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to the participants in the events to mark the 125th anniversary of the birth of Belarusian poet Maxim Bogdanovich.

    The message of greetings reads that the exquisite and unparalleled poems of the world-famous poet characterized by skillful use of figures of speech, ability to reach the depths of the readers' inner being, and high standards of artistic expression are rightfully recognized as one of the finest samples of the European 20th-century poetry.

    “With his art, Maxim Bogdanovich laid the foundation of the Belarusian national aesthetics and made a considerable contribution to the development of the literary language and the patriotic awareness of the nation. This is why today we, citizens of a sovereign country, should cherish what our famous fellow countryman was working for: our historical memory, native language and strong country,” the head of state noted.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed confidence that the celebrations of the 125th anniversary of Maxim Bogdanovich’s birth will consolidate the people of Belarus and glorify the talents of the nation.
