Greetings on 75th anniversary of victory in Battle of Kursk

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Governor of Russia’s Kursk Oblast Alexander Mikhailov, veterans of the Great Patriotic War and people from Kursk Oblast on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of victory in the Battle of Kursk.

    The head of state remarked that the event had turned the tide of the war and made it possible to launch the strategic offensive of the Soviet troops.

    “This battle will stay in history as an example of genuine courage and heroism, strength of spirit and belief in victory. Every piece of land in Kursk Oblast was covered with blood of fallen heroes, soldiers and officers of different nationalities. Their feat will be cherished by Belarusian people forever,” the message of greetings reads.

    The President stressed that the gratitude for the feat of soldiers who liberated the country and gave people the right to peaceful life has united the nations of Belarus and Russia forever.
