Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards
Sixty representatives from various fields of activity will be presented with state awards. Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the corresponding decree on 7 September.
They will be honored with orders, medals and honorary titles for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism, exemplary performance of official duties, courage shown while rescuing people from fire, merits in military service and protection of the state border, prevention and mitigation of natural and man-made emergencies, significant personal contribution to the improvement of the tax system, implementation of the country's social and economic policy, development of forestry production, transport industry, machine building and agriculture, outstanding achievements in education, healthcare, science, culture and sports.
The Order of the Fatherland 3rd Class has been conferred on Andrei Gurinovich, Head of the Medical Unit (Special Purpose) of the State Institution “432 Order of Red Star Main Military Clinical Medical Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus”, and Pavel Kharchenko, Head of the 14th Border Guard Unit of the Border Service.
Aleksandr Podobed, electric fitter of Belkommunmash Company, has been awarded the Order of Honor.
Nikita Dedin, a police officer of the Luninets Division of the Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has been awarded the Medal for Saved Life.
The Medal for Excellence in Military Service has been bestowed upon deputy head of the management department of the State Border Committee Pavel Lebedev, the Medal for Excellence in the State Border Protection – to head of the department of the directorate of the State Border Committee Sergei Klimenkov, the Medal for Labor Merits – to dean of the accounting and economic faculty of the Belarusian State Economic University Vladimir Berezovsky, and the Medal of Francysk Skaryna – to teacher of history and social studies of the Valevskaya secondary school in Novogrudok District Tamara Surago.
According to the decree, a number of honorary titles of the Republic of Belarus have also been conferred. The Honored Artist title will go to Igor Khlebus, Head of the Military Orchestral Service of the Armed Forces, Head of the State Institution “Exemplary Orchestra of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus”, and Yulia Shcherbakova, Vocal Concertmaster of the Opera Company of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater.
The Honored Worker of Education title will go to Lyudmila Nekhorosheva, Head of the Department of Economics of Industrial Enterprises of the Belarusian State Economic University.
Director General of Planar Sergei Avakov has been named Honored Worker of Industry.
Piotr Kashtelyan, director general of the Grodno breeding enterprise, and Aleksei Mikulich, director of Mankovichi production company in Stolin District have been given the Honored Worker of Agriculture title.
The Honored Transport Worker title has been bestowed upon director of the Baranovichi Bus Park Vladimir Puchko, the Honored Border Guard title - upon First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Committee Igor Butkevich.
Anton Smolski, sportsman-instructor of the national biathlon team of the Raubichi National Olympic Training Center, has been named Honored Master of Sports.
By his executive order, Aleksandr Lukashenko has also expressed official thanks of the President of the Republic of Belarus to a number of professionals for many years of fruitful work in the tax authorities, exemplary performance of official duties, significant achievements in professional activities, significant personal contribution to ensuring the rule of law, strengthening law enforcement, fruitful scientific and pedagogical activities, significant personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists for economic sectors.
