Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko received a report from President of the National Olympic Committee Viktor Lukashenko on 6 July.

“There are two issues with regards to sports. The domestic situation, especially after the latest meeting [the meeting on 16 June]. This is not only about ice hockey, naturally. What is happening on the international track? Who still has restrictions in place and who has lifted them?” the head of state outlined the topics for the report.

Aleksandr Lukashenko also proposed discussing personnel issues related to the sports sector. He asked for an assessment of the efficiency of the leading trio in sports, consisting of the deputy prime minister who oversees this sector, the relevant minister, and the head of the NOC. “How effective is this trio? What is the situation here?” the President asked.

Another topic of the report, not related to sports, concerned Viktor Lukashenko’s personal assignments in international activities. “Among other things, there is a state matter that rests on your shoulders as you are our point man for the development of cooperation with Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and partly Africa. How are we doing there? How are the projects we discussed in economy progressing?” the head of state inquired.
