Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with members of the Indonesian government to discuss major joint investment projects on 1 July.

Taking part in the meeting from the Indonesian side were the Minister of Investment, Head of the Investment Coordinating Board, and CEO of Indonesia's state investment agency Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani; Minister of Agriculture and Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Andi Amran Sulaiman; and President Director of state-owned oil company Pertamina Simon Aloysius Mantiri.

“Dear friends, I believe you have already discussed many issues before this meeting. Nevertheless, perhaps some issues need to be resolved without delay. I am ready for that. I know that you have also discussed topics regarding agriculture, the supply and joint production of medical and veterinary preparations, and food products,” the head of state said at the beginning of the meeting.

“I would like you to know: if there is anything we can do for you, please you are welcome in Belarus. Take a look at our manufacturing companies and our enterprises. If anything catches your interest, consider it all achievable. No topics is off limits in cooperation with Indonesia. On the contrary, we want to expand our cooperation. So let's make agreements,” the Belarusian leader stated. “If you wish to invest in any enterprises, we will consider any of your proposals. Reciprocally, we would like issues to be resolved without any red tape or delays (if we are to establish joint production facilities here for goods of interest to you). Any areas of cooperation are possible. Please, just tell us what you need. I’d like to emphasize once again: the best way to understand our capabilities is to visit Belarus and see what we have to offer.”

“You know very well that our capabilities are primarily based on Belarusian technologies, which have their roots in the Soviet era. You also know that it was one of the most developed countries in the world. We have preserved these technologies and, in many respects, modernized the enterprises that operate using them. Most importantly, I know the goals you are striving for. On the path towards these goals, we can be useful to you with our technologies,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.

For his part, Minister of Investment Rosan Perkasa Roeslani noted that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto had given instructions to strengthen and develop relations with Belarus in all possible areas.
