Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards
Under the Decree by the head of state signed on 24 June, a number of distinguished Belarusians have been honoured with state awards in recognition of their long-lasting fruitful work, professional excellence, attainment of considerable production results, irreproachable service, exemplary fulfilment of their service duties, achievements in education, culture and sport.
The Order for Service to the Motherland III Class has been conferred on Colonel Viktor Gulevich.
Editor-in-Chief of the Gomelskaya Pravda newspaper Sergei Bespalyi has been honoured with the Order of Honor.
Two policemen have been decorated with medals for irreproachable service.
Ten workers of various industries were awarded medals for labor services.
The Medal of Francysk Skaryna has been bestowed upon Colonel Andrei Zyl, head of the military orchestra service, head of the song and dance band of the Interior Troops of the Interior Ministry.
The Merited Scientist of the Republic of Belarus title has been conferred on Vladimir Zharkov, chief scientist of the thoracic oncopathology department of the National Scientific Research Center of Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N.N. Aleksandrov.
The Merited Worker of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus title has been bestowed upon chairman of Snov agricultural company, Nesvizh District, Nikolai Radoman.
The Merited Worker of Prosecution Bodies of the Republic of Belarus title has been conferred on Deputy Prosecutor General Nikolai Kuklis, First Deputy Prosecutor for Minsk Oblast Nikolai Pilinkevich, etc.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also issued the executive order on expressing official thanks of the President of the Republic of Belarus to 12 people.
