Distinguished Belarusians honored with state awards
Representatives
of various professions have been honored with state awards in
recognition of many-year fruitful work, high professionalism, exemplary
fulfillment of service duties, great personal contribution to the
training of high-class athletes, implementation of the state policy in
justice, development of agriculture, construction industry, journalism,
national television, significant achievements in education, culture,
arts and sport. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed
corresponding Decree No. 163.
Order of Honor has been bestowed upon senior coach of the national aerials team Aleksandr Penigin.
A large group of military has been honored with the Medal for Excellence in Military Service. Among them is the sniper of the peacekeeping company of the 103rd Independent Guards Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces Evgeny Borodavkin and paramedic-shooter Aleksandr Leonov, senior officer of the international military cooperation and peacekeeping department of the special operations forces command of the Armed Forces Sergei Pigas, athlete-instructor of the second category of the second division of the sports committee of the Armed Forces Volha Mazuronak.
A number of officers of the investigation bodies and emergency units have been awarded with medals for excellence in protecting public order and disaster management.
Medal for Labor Service has been awarded to workers of the construction industry, education, industry, sport, information and law. Among them is Pro-Rector for Science of the Belarusian State Technological University Oleg Dormeshkin, operator of the ferment floor of the organic dairy products department at OAO Molochny Mir Maria Zanevskaya, coach of the national aerials team Mikhail Kurlovich, coach-teacher in Greco-Roman wrestling at the Grodno regional center of Olympic reserve Ivan Chechko, Deputy Director General of the Main Directorate of the Belarus 1 TV Channel of the General Producers Center of the National State TV and Radio Company Olga Solomakha, and Justice Minister Oleg Slizhevsky.
Francysk Skaryna medal awardees include Rector of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Mikhail Borozna, Editor-in-Chief of the Brest regional newspaper Zarya Aleksandr Logvinovich, Editor-in-Chief of the news agency Mogilevskie Vedomosti Svetlana Shutova.
The Honorary Education Worker of Belarus and Honorary Builder of Belarus titles were bestowed upon dean of the professional development department of the Academy of Postgraduate Education Vladimir Yanchuk and chief engineer of Minskinzhproyekt company Vladimir Kotov.
Athlete-instructor of the Belarusian national wrestling team Vladislav Andreyev, and also athletes-instructors of the Belarusian national martial arts team Dmitry Varets and Andrei Khamenok were named honored masters of sports of Belarus.
Head coach of the Belarusian national modern pentathlon team Igor Voronko, coach of the National Olympic Aerials Center Yuri Kupratsevich and physical education teacher, head coach of the Belarusian national trampoline team Olga Vlasova received the Honored Coach of Belarus title.
The head of state also signed an executive order to present the letter of commendation to head coach of the Belarusian national aerials team Nikolai Kozeko for high professionalism, training of elite athletes and considerable contribution to the outstanding results of the national team. The president’s letter of commendation was also awarded to athlete-instructor of the Belarusian national disabled sports team Oksana Petrushenko for high professionalism and achievement of the outstanding results at international sports competitions.
The President’s letters of commendation also went to director of SENS-TECHNO, member of the Belarusian Union of Designers Vladimir Trofimenko for outstanding achievements and considerable contribution to the development of national industrial design and art, chairman of the Osipovichi District organization of the Belarusian Union of Afghan War Veterans Yuri Korban for many-year fruitful activity in the military and patriotic education of the younger generation, social security of internationalist soldiers.
