Directive No. 3 of Belarus President revised
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 26 to revise Directive No. 3 of 14 June 2007 “Economy and savings – the main factors of economic security of the state” on 26 January.
The title of the directive now reads as follows: “Concerning the priorities in strengthening the economic security of the state”.
To enhance the economic security of the state, the directive provides for the measures to raise the role and contribution of the scientific community in the resolution of the tasks of national importance, growth of the export potential for ensuring the external balance of the economy and diversification of export, improvement of the manufacturing sector management, enhancement of the country’s energy security and independence.
The Council of Ministers was instructed to approve the plan of action to implement the provisions of the directive within three months.
The Prime Minister, heads of public administration bodies and other state-run organizations subordinate to the government, oblast executive committees and the MinskCity Hall will be personally responsible for the implementation of the document.
