Condolences over passing of Yevgeny Yevtushenko
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed
condolences to the family and friends of poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko in connection
with his passing.
“Poet and writer, director and actor, publicist and social activist Yevgeny Yevtushenko had an eventful life, reached true professional heights and enjoyed sincere love and appreciation of numerous fans,” the message of condolences reads.
The head of state remarked that Yevgeny Yevtushenko created wonderful things in various genres, and his works are famous for their topicality and simplicity.
“He was an example of dedication to his work and art,” the President emphasized. “His passing is an irretrievable loss for the world culture.”
