Commentary to Decree No. 574 of 27 December 2013 

On 27 December President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 574 “Concerning the provision of subsidized loans to the citizens of the Republic of Belarus for in vitro fertilization”.

In line with the document, subsidized loans will be provided to women who undergo in vitro fertilization in Belarusian healthcare organizations of all forms of ownership.

At present 1,700-2,000 in vitro fertilization procedures are conducted in Belarus.

Subsidized loans will be issued by OAO Belarusbank in Belarusian rubles for the period of up to five years. The interest rate for using the loan will make up 50% of the refinancing rate of the National Bank. The maximum size of the loan will be 300 base rates.
