Commentary to Decree No. 264 of 6 June 2013
President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed decree No. 264 “Concerning the operation of the Belarus President Administration” on 6 June.
The document aims to facilitate the implementation of Decree No. 168 of 12 April 2013 “Concerning a number of measures to optimize the system of administration bodies and other state organizations, the personnel structure of these organizations”.
Following the resolution of the head of state, the number of the personnel of the Belarus President Administration was reduced by 25%.
The document provided for the amended version of the provision regarding the Belarus President Administration and its structure which is expected to streamline the operation of the Belarus President Administration after the personnel reduction.
The provision specifies the tasks and functions of the President
Administration to organize the activity of the head of state in the personnel
policy, domestic and foreign policy, debureaucratization of the state apparatus
and handling people’s petitions.
