Commentary to Decree No. 232 of 8 June 2015
On 8 June President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 232 which aims to create favorable conditions for the implementation of the investment project “Belarus: ecological and infrastructure project – stage one”. The investment project provides for the comprehensive renovation of treatment facilities in Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno and the construction of biogas complexes in Baranovichi and Slonim.
The decree aims to solve the issue of water treatment, raise the share of renewable energy sources and reduce the ecological burden on Belarus water bodies.
