Commentary to Decree No. 224 of 16 May 2014

New samples of a badge of honor and a diploma of the winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus have been approved in Belarus. President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed corresponding Decree No. 224 “Concerning additions and amendments to presidential Decree No. 169 of 8 April 2005 on 16 May.

The state prize is the highest reward for workers of science, technology, literature, art, and architecture. These prizes are awarded once in two years for outstanding scientific or cultural achievements.

The new badge of honor is made of silver. There is the national flag, Belarusian ornaments, an open book, seven round emblems of regions of the Republic of Belarus on the badge of honor.

The badge of honor and diploma are presented by the President of the Republic of Belarus.
