Commentary to Decree No. 143 of 2 April 2013
President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 143 “Concerning the volume and sources of financing used to purchase agricultural machines and equipment in 2013” on 2 April.
The document envisages financing of the national program to provide modern equipment and machines to the companies of the agricultural industry, construction, retooling and upgrade of production facilities of these organizations for the period from 2011 to 2015. Br 4.06 trillion will be funneled into the program. Preferential loans of banks will make up Br3.26 trillion of the total.
Agricultural companies will get hundreds of machines to cultivate and harvest grain, potatoes, beets, grass forage, vegetables, flax as well as land reclamation equipment and machinery for animal breeding farms.
The equipment will be provided on leasing terms.
The decree aims to provide agribusiness enterprises with new machines in 2013, use this equipment to master cutting-edge technologies in agriculture.
