Commentary to Decree No. 139 of 22 March 2012

President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 139 "On Provision of Medications to Certain Categories of People on a Preferential Basis" on 22 March to provide additional social support to children under the age of three and people with 3rd group disabilities.

In line with the Decree, children under the age of three will get regular medications for free.

The document also raised the discount up to 50% for people with 3rd degree disabilities. The discount will be available for regular medications used to treat the condition that has resulted in the disability.

The abovementioned measures aim to enhance the state policy of social benefits provided to the most vulnerable categories of people and improve living standards of people with 3rd degree disabilities and families with children under the age of three.
