Belarusian Written Language Day greetings
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent
greetings to the participants and guests of the celebrations of the Belarusian
Written Language Day.
“This event is especially important in the Year of Culture. The society is focused on the need to protect the best spiritual legacy created centuries ago, enrich the national heritage by the achievements of our talented contemporaries as the historical memory and pride of the Homeland are a solid foundation for the country’s further development,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state remarked that the event is held in Rogachev this year. This town played a big role in the lives of Vladimir Korotkevich, Mikhas Lynkov, and Andrei Makayenok. Love for the native land, respectful attitude to hardworking and kind people were the main ideas in the works of these people.
“I am convinced that the versatile program will promote the productive development of the Belarusian written language and will make it more popular,” the President noted.
