Belarus President receives Victory Day greetings from CIS leaders

    Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has received congratulatory messages on the occasion of Victory Day from the CIS leaders.

    President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin stressed in his message of congratulations: “We will always be in the irredeemable debt to the WWII heroes. They, with their rare courage, patriotism and selflessness, deserved an imperishable memory in our hearts. The victory was won not only with the help of weapons but with the unity of the nations, their readiness to fight shoulder to shoulder for freedom and independence.”

    “I am confident that deep traditions of friendship, good-neighborly relations and mutual supportiveness, determination to develop close integration ties in the CIS will be further strengthening the Russian-Belarusian allied relationship,” Vladimir Putin stressed.
