Belarus President awards scholarships to young scientists

    Scholarships for 2017 have been assigned to 99 talented young scientists doing research in priority scientific and technical areas. The Belarusian head of state has signed the corresponding decree.

    Among scholarship recipients are specialists in physics and mathematics, technical sciences, chemistry, biology, medicine, agricultural and veterinary sciences, social sciences and humanities, and geosciences.

    Scholarship holders have achieved significant results in the priority areas of fundamental and applied research. Their scientific achievements are used at industrial enterprises, medical, educational and social institutions of Belarus. The novelty of their researches is confirmed by many patents and publications in the leading national and international scientific journals, presentations at national and international conferences and symposiums.

    The passing of the executive order testifies to the support of talented young scientists, strengthening of the scientific potential of Belarus.
