Aleksandr Lukashenko wishes Happy Easter to Patriarch Kirill

    President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has wished Happy Easter to Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.

    "I cordially congratulate you on Easter – a great holiday of triumph of faith and life that brings joy and hope to people. In this day reigns inseparable spiritual unity of the Slavonic people based on the historical, cultural, and religious heritage. The Resurrection of Christ is a symbol of all-triumphant love which enhances the commitment of Belarusians and Russians to do good in their Fatherland and in their homes," Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.

    The head of state emphasized that the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church aimed at promoting Christian traditions in the modern community play a crucial role in ensuring social stability and accord in the Orthodox world, to which our countries belong.

    "May the light of Easter days become for you, Your Holiness, the source of spiritual strength and constructive labor. I wish you health, success, optimism, and well being," the President of Belarus said.
