Aleksandr Lukashenko wishes Happy Easter to Metropolitan Filaret

President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent Easter greetings to Metropolitan Filaret, Patriarchal Exarch Emeritus of All Belarus.

“The Belarusian people love and respect you. Thanks to your efforts we have managed to ensure the full-fledged operation of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. We highly appreciate your contribution to the revival of Christian traditions, moral invigoration of the society. That is why your have such a huge authority in Belarus,” the message of greetings reads.

The President wished health and optimism, God’s protection and assistance to Metropolitan Filaret. “Let your prayers help amplify the spiritual wealth of our country in the future,” Aleksandr Lukashenko wished.
