Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Victory Day greetings to foreign leaders
In anticipation of Victory Day President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to foreign leaders, statesmen and heads of integration associations.
“The heroic deed of the Soviet people who defended the freedom and independence of their Motherland and saved the world from fascism will be always remembered by the generations of people. I am convinced that brotherly friendship of our peoples which has stood the most difficult tests of the Great Patriotic War will further contribute to sustainable and all-round development of the Belarusian-Russian relations based on unity and strategic partnership,” the message of greetings sent to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko has also sent letters of greetings to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev, President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti, President of Tajikistan Emomalii Rakhmon, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.
Apart from that, the President of the Republic of Belarus has sent Victory Day greetings to Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin and Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill.
The Belarusian head of state has also sent greetings to Head of the Russian President Administration Sergei Ivanov, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergei Lavrov, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota, Chairman of the Executive Council – Executive Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedev, Secretary General of the CSTO Nikolai Bordyuzha.
