Aleksandr Lukashenko sends Knowledge Day greetings

Greetings to pupils, students, post-graduates, research and educational professionals

    Dear friends,

I cordially congratulate you on the Knowledge Day.

On 1 September we celebrate a true nationwide holiday which fills our hearts with excitement. Today classrooms welcome students again, streets are made gaudy with bright flowers in the hands of first graders. Adults are nostalgic about their school years.

Education is one of Belarus' top social priorities. It gets special attention and all-round support. Modern Belarus builds the economy of knowledge, develops its own space industry, nuclear energy, sophisticated technologies. Belarus is eager to be on the forefront of the scientific and technical progress. Education and knowledge of Belarusians are main conditions for present and future successes of the country.

I wish all students not to lose interest in the unexplored things, to learn with enthusiasm filling each day with the joy of discoveries. May persistence, curiosity and devotion to the Homeland help you fulfil cherished dreams.

    Dear pedagogues,

I am very grateful to you for your fidelity to work, initiative and professionalism, solid civil position and selfless love for pupils. Pedagogues were and are a standby of the state.
