Aleksandr Lukashenko sends greetings to Pope Francis on election anniversary

    President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Pope Francis who was elected as pontiff a year ago.

    “I am convinced that your activities in this post will help strengthen traditional cooperation, mutual understanding and respect between the Republic of Belarus and Vatican City,” the message of greetings reads.

    Aleksandr Lukashenko wished strong health, unflagging energy and God’s help in the noble and responsible mission to Pope Francis.
